Everything, plainly

Straight answers.

The product, the plans, the editor setup, the checks, the money — and what we deliberately don’t do.

The product

What is LoudPixel?+

LoudPixel tells you whether AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini name your site when buyers ask what to use — and hands you ready-to-ship fixes your coding agent or developer applies. It never touches your site.

What is GEO and how is it different from SEO?+

Generative Engine Optimization optimizes for AI answer engines that synthesize responses and cite a few sources; SEO optimizes for Google’s ranked blue links. About 60% of Google searches end without a click and 47% of US queries show an AI Overview — if you’re not in the cited set, that traffic never sees you.

What’s the AI shortlist?+

Ask several AI engines the same buyer question and they mostly name the same few sites. That set is the AI shortlist (technically, our consensus core: the sites named by a majority of the engines asked). It turns an unanswerable question — “what do I rank?” — into a countable one: on the list, or N engines away.

What is a “fix” (PRD)?+

A ready-to-ship file — technically a PRD — that spells out the exact additions for one page: the structured-data snippet, a short answer paragraph, sources and credentials, links. Scored by impact. Your coding agent applies it; you review the diff.

Does LoudPixel ever edit my site?+

No. LoudPixel writes instructions only. Your coding agent (Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf) or your developer applies the fix inside your repo, and you approve every change.

From your editor

What is MCP and why does LoudPixel use it?+

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how Cursor, Claude Code, and Claude Desktop call external tools. LoudPixel’s MCP is AI-search-native: your agent queries the engines directly and gets back whether you’re on each AI shortlist, plus ready-to-ship fixes. Setup guide →

What tools does the MCP expose?+

Four tools matched to the four plans — know (free), fix ($29 pack), operate (Pro), win (Premium) — plus free utilities: list_engines, search_docs, get_doc, list_topics.

How is this different from Ahrefs or Semrush MCP?+

Their MCPs expose SEO data — keywords, backlinks, rank tracking — built for the pre-ChatGPT search world. LoudPixel queries AI engines directly and answers whether you’re on the list they name. For keyword research we recommend Ahrefs or Semrush; we don’t pretend to do it.

OAuth didn’t open, or tools are missing+

Visit loudpixel.ai/mcp/auth manually if the tab doesn’t launch. If tools are missing, fully restart your MCP client — config is read at startup. For credit errors, check your plan or pack balance in your account.

The checks

What’s in the free check?+

One domain, your top buyer questions, asked across 3 AI engines in ~60 seconds — no signup, no card. You get the AI shortlist per question, who’s on it, which engines name you, and how many engines away you are. Run one →

How many engines do you check?+

We track 14 engines; each check asks the engines in the current production fleet — free asks 3, paid asks the full fleet. The shortlist is always defined by a majority of the engines actually asked.

Is this omniscient tracking?+

No — and nobody’s is. It’s sampling-based monitoring: repeated, timestamped questions reduced to one plain fact — who gets named. We tell you exactly what we measure and how. Honesty beats dashboard theater.

Pricing & credits

What does LoudPixel cost?+

Seeing where you stand is free. A ready-to-ship fix is a $29 one-time 150-credit pack. Weekly re-checks are Pro at $99/mo (1,500 credits). The full-category plan is Premium at $249/mo (4,000 credits). Annual saves two months. Pricing →

What’s a credit?+

Credits meter the work: a check, a fix, or a scheduled re-check each consume a posted credit price. Pack credits persist for 12 months; monthly credits don’t roll over.

What does LoudPixel deliberately not do?+

Keyword research (use Ahrefs/Semrush), backlink audits (Ahrefs/Majestic), enterprise CRM (HubSpot), on-prem hosting, and Fortune-500 SLAs. We’d rather be explicit than pretend.
